Stretholox commented Feb 8, 2016 I was probably supposed to do that after shell wasn't I. and use command line "i810switch" to know the current state. aptitude claimed it required xorg-common but said that wasn't installable. With Xorg/Etch? Only a hard re-boot (pressing the power button) would release the system.I have been experiencing this problem since i tried to upgrade (sudo apt-get dist-upgrade) to Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper beta2. is bug 32474 a similar problem? Hope this helps, Regards, Paul.
It was fixed shortly before the release of breezy, Daniel Stone (iirc) said it had something to do with bugs in gcc ... Is there any way to at least get out of redownloading the amrsoc file? Is there any way to get a more detailed trace of what's happening?
