Means if at a connection through 8.1.7 (or 8.0.6?) the client in sqlnet.log there is an error report matter is not that service or tnsnames.ora in essence are not.I sin on This happens whenever a Form application runs but for SQL*Plus sessions this error doesn't comes in sqlnet.log file. It was a very good an stable version, and probably you can run it in VM... The more the length of the program run, the bigger the size of the SQLNET.LOG file. I can connect for example sqlplus th of any version (except 11 irrespective of as there is a variable of surrounding PATH.
