Winbind Could Not Receive Trustdoms
When authenticating against our DC's running Windows 2003, we can perform ntlm auth's without errors. But encountered this problem; [root@udcsp03 etc]# wbinfo -a domainuser%password plaintext password authentication failed error code was NT_STATUS_PIPE_DISCONNECTED (0xc00000b0) error messsage was: Named pipe dicconnected Could not authenticate user domainuser%password with plaintext Now the question is, is there any way to upgrade Samba on the NSS6000 and if not, what is the best way to get Cisco to push out an updated firmware I'm looking for ideas on how to debug this and anyone else'sexperience using ADS for authentication.
I'm really pleased to hear that, Mike. Wbinfo -u wbinfo -a domainuser%password Actual results: Failure to authenticate. I can tell you that with Gui access there isn't any way to enable SSH/Telent access for modifying or adding features in the linux code. If you need to reset your password, click here.
It's possible, Windows PDC does not support NT-style auth via pipe. I wanted to setup user authentication for logging in with pam_winbind. I ran into a problem with my PAM configuration recently that I just couldn't track down. Thanks.RegardsMarcin Top Pedzel Posts: 62 Joined: 2011/02/22 13:48:00 Re: Samba ads issue Quote Postby Pedzel » 2011/02/24 11:43:25 Hi again,I have managed to solve the previous problem but now got another

- I have tried recompile it and loads of errors after make appeared.
- If the Expert mode "Use LDAP Authentication" is correct, are any of the LDAP settings from the unchecked "Use LDAP" in the main section still used?

[email protected]'s password: Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic,password). his comment is here I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem with the specs on the device as I'm sure any version or Samba would be fine to run on most hardware. If you need help rebuilding Winbind and Samba this web post is a great example how to do it. After migration to WIN2008r2 we have problems with shares.
I can log in with kinit also. That took care of my problem without a lot of work.ReplyDeleteLaneFebruary 18, 2011 at 2:50 PMAck. yum erase samba samba-common yum install samba3x samba3x-client You will need to rebuild your connections to AD via winbind and rebuild your SMB.conf so I would suggest you save your files
Comment 11 Parker 2010-06-23 12:51:20 EDT I am running into this same problem. Yes In RHEL 6 it is one package back again. Click Here to receive this Complete Guide absolutely free. getent passwd/group works and 'id uid' returns all domaingroups aswell as local groups as it should.
You will really enjoy these new units, There no comparison to older NSS6000 device. Note that registered members see fewer ads, and ContentLink is completely disabled once you log in. You can use the exact same configuration, but you need to 'net ads join' your machine to the domain with samba3x again. navigate here Configured kerberos and so on.I have used this manual: http://www.howtoforge.com/samba_ads_security_mode_p2When i try to enter the share from windows client it can not connect.
Expected results: User authenticated OK.
